They are many ways to make use of the corn we grow and export, this is a very tasty way called Salbutes. very tasty Belizean Mayan way called salbutes.

First you need masa: Masa is Spanish for dough. In the Americas it is often short for masa de maíz, a maize (corn) dough made from freshly prepared hominy. It is used for making corn tortillastamalespupusasarepas and many other Latin American dishes. The dried and powdered form is called masa harinamasa de harina, and sometimes maseca, the name of a leading commercial brand. It is reconstituted with water before use.[1] Masa de trigo is Spanish for wheat flour dough. It is also used for making wheat tortillas and other breads and pastries. Its easily available at Walmart or any grocery store in the Flour and such isle.


Prepare the masa as directed on package, until a firm but soft dough. Make into small round balls.
Flatten balls as in making corn tortillas.
Fry each tortilla to a soft but playable texture.
If using pi-bill remove pork from the pig and shred or with chicken do the same shred already cooked chicken.
Shred meat, season and fry.
Put shredded chicken on tortillas add tomatoes cabbage mixture( shred cabbage,onions and hot peppers) add to 3tblsp vinegar 1 cup water 2tsp salt and 1 tsp sugar.
Sprinkle with grated cheese add pepper sauce if desired.
