Dahl Roti is whats for dinner tonigt

Ingredients: Flour Tortillas 1/2 lb split peas or 2 cups 3 cups flour 1 medium onion 2 tsp balking powder 2 plugs garlic 2 oz shortening 2 tsp cominos 1 tsp salt 1 tsp ginger 1 cup water or coconut milk 1/2 tsp black pepper 1 cup oil for frying Method: Put split peas in water and boil until cooked but not too tender Grind beans with onion and garlic add cominos. Prepare tortillas: Mix flour,shortening,baking powder and salt. Add water. Make into a dough,firm enough to knead. Make into 3 balls(round).Put balls in palm of hand. Make hole in tortillas and fill with thick split peas. Close up hole so that peas will not split when rolled. Seal ends.Let rest for 15-30 minutes. Flour table lightly.Roll dough with a rolling pin or clean point bottle. Fry in hot fat or bake like tortillas.
