The 2009 Grammys marked the beginning of a domestic violence drama that revealed a darker side to Chris Brown's relationship at the time with Rihanna

But nearly three years to the day, Brown, 22, and Rihanna, 24, were again spending time together on music's biggest night – and it was an unexpected collaboration.

The former couple, whose recent friendly behavior is no secret on Twitter, both hit the studio last week to record parts on each other's songs, which were released late Monday.

The remix of Rihanna's "Birthday Cake," featuring Brown, lacks no shortage of sex appeal – not to mention not-safe-for-work lyrics.

"Girl, I wanna f--- you right now," sings Brown, whose return to the Grammy stage this year was met with mixed reviews. "Been a long time/I've been missing your body."

While the songstress doesn't get down and dirty with explicit lyrics on Brown's remix of "Turn up the Music," she does seem to suggest a rather revealing message.

"I love you, baby," she sings.

Amid their musical reunion, tell us:
  1. Is the former couple's collaboration music to your ears -- or does it leave a bad taste in your mouth?
